In Earth-1610, the Ultimate universe, a version of Peter Parker is given his first costume by a promoter . Whether he comes back for more action is unknown, but even seeing him again just this once in costume was a moment that   anime cosplay  will never be forgotten, for Maguire or the fans. For reasons unknown, the costume also had a cell phone taped to its chest. To thank him Parker builds Miguel the white suit, which is basically just Iron Man with a cruddy skull on his chest. After four entries featuring either homemade or alternate-colored versions of the costume, this next pick is the first on the list that evokes memories of the Spider-Man costume fans know and love from Marvel Comics. Chief among these are the fedora and trenchcoat, lending this version of Spider-Man a far different and more incognito look than any of the other versions. The three versions of Spider-Man have a genuine bond. It was bad enough to have a snout-less Lizard, but one thing that seemed to really get under people’s skin was the look of the suit. Interestingly, while Marvel’s Spider-Man features Peter Parker as Spidey, Spider-Man 2099’s alter ego was brilliant geneticist by the name of Miguel O’Hara, who after attempting to recreate the abilities of the original Spider-Man in other people, suffers an accident that causes half of his DNA to be re-written with a spider’s genetic code. As well as settling down with Gwen Stacy instead of Mary Jane Watson, this Peter made some subtle but distinctive changes to the original Spider-Man costume too. The spray paint and hoodie here, though, make his outfit more uniquely his own and goes well with the established framework. Death, in particular, is difficult for Peter to reconcile with, leading him to make dramatic and unrealistic proclamations, such as his “Nobody dies!” credo after Marla Madison’s passing.
